Hey! My name is Mark Remke and I am the coordinator for the volunteers at the 2023 EUD camporee in Friedensau.
I am happily married to Sarah and the proud father of our daughter Malina.
For as long as I can remember I've been in the Pathfinder Club and love to experience God's creation as a Pathfinder.
As a pastor and responsible for the pathfinders in North Rhine-Westphalia, I would like to enable pathfinders to have great experiences with God in camps. That's why I'm looking forward to experiencing and designing the Camporee with you.
1. How do I become a volunteer?
If I am from Germany:
Register via the event calendar on the website www.adventjugend.de. In addition to the registration, we also need a recommendation from your local pastor or your Conference/Union youth or pathfinder director.
If I am from another country in the Inter-European Division (EUD):
Use this link to register. You will need to attach or send a recommendation letter from your Union or Conference pathfinder/youth department leader to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Please, note that you can only be a volunteer if you live in one of the countries of the Inter-European Division (EUD) (Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Spain and Switzerland).
Registration deadline: 30 April 2023
2. What do I do as a volunteer?
As a volunteer you are the heart of the Camporees. Only you make Camporee possible. Live in one of the countries of the Inter-European Division. Together we set up and tear down the Camporee. During the camporee we take on important tasks so that everything runs smoothly.
3. What do I need to be a volunteer?
You must be at least 18 years old. Speak and understand a little English. 😬And have a lot of desire and fun to keep the Camporee running. 😜 In addition to that, you should bring a lot of good humor with you.
4. How much does it cost to be a volunteer?
We cover your accommodation and meal expenses. You only have to take care of and cover the travel expenses to Berlin Airport. We will pick you up at the airport and take you to Friedensau.
And as a thank you for your service, right after the camporee, all volunteers will enjoy a special day together in Berlin on Monday, 7 August, 2023. It will be unforgettable!
5. How do I get to Friedensau?
The nearest airport is Berlin Brandenburg Airport BER, from there we offer a free shuttle service to Friedensau.
The nearest train station is Burg (Magdeburg) from where we offer a free shuttle service to Friedensau.
Enter the following address in your GPS: An der Ihle 19, 39291 Friedensau.
6. What dates do I need to be there?
We need volunteers to arrive on Friday, 28 July 2023, in the morning, and leave on Tuesday, 8 August 2023.
7. How will I be accommodated?
We will sleep in tents. If you have the opportunity, please bring your own tent. On the registration form you can indicate whether you are bringing your own tent or need one.
8. What is there to eat?
We are well taken care of all the time by the super team of the EUD kitchen. The camporee menu is vegetarian.
You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
